Our Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide Training is the best in the state! The training is a 10-day course structured around the instruction of technical strokes, maneuvers, river knowledge, river safety and group leadership achieved through on-the-water whitewater skills, which prepares you better than any other guide training program to pass the State of Maine written exam. After completion of our Whitewater Guide Training program, you will take the written test administered by the State of Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife held at Northeast Whitewater. After successful completion of the written test, you will receive your Registered Maine Whitewater Guide license, and be eligible to work for Northeast Whitewater immediately.
The State of Maine charges $125 to take the written test and $89 for your 3-year guide license, which is separate from the raft guide training course cost. Ask us about combining one of our Registered Maine Guide Training Programs with Swiftwater Rescue, Wilderness First Aid training or Whitewater Instruction in Canoeing and Kayaking for optimum whitewater skills and development in the outdoor education field.
