COVID-19 Update July 1, 2020
Travel restrictions for CT, NY and NJ residents has been lifted and adds these three states to the already VT and NH residents not being asked to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of your trip to Maine. As a reminder, Northeast Whitewater can not legally ask for your medical records, so we will continue to ask all guests visiting from anywhere in the country to self certify you are feeling well and healthy. Thank you.
COVID-19 Update June 15, 2020
Northeast Whitewater is open for business! Privately guided trips are running again. Our campground & yurts are open. Our gift shop and camp store is also now open. Our first whitewater rafting trip of the season was Saturday, June 13 and we are glad to say that whitewater rafting is now open. All Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont citizens are free to roam around Maine and everyone else is being asked to do a COVID-19 test prior to your trip. We recognize the concern some guests have to make sure they are welcome in Maine, and I’d like to share with you, that yes, we love our out of state guests! Thank you for your continued support of our small Maine business through this challenging time. Even though the Maine governor is very strict with her recommended guidelines (while looking out for all), please remember that there is no law disallowing out of state guests to visit Maine. We require that you self certify at the time of check in that you are healthy and well. We have taken the necessary precautions to keep you safe as always & face coverings are requested of our guests when social distancing is not able to be achieved.
We are currently taking reservations, protected by our COVID-19 response (see below).

Dear Northeast Whitewater guest,
Our integrity and values as a guide service, campground and outdoor adventure resort is the reason we are writing this response to COVID-19, which is at the forefront of the news. We want our guests to know that we are taking this seriously. It’s our intent to keep your experience at Northeast Whitewater safe, healthy and fun for you and your family, always.
Since February, we’ve been monitoring COVID-19 information and evaluating our own procedures. We are following the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) along with other authorities and will remain in compliance with all requirements.
It has always been our focus to keep our facilities and equipment clean and we will continue to do so. Our cleaning procedures have utilized disinfectants that are effective against the spread of viruses. We will additionally be focused on high frequency areas such as handles, paddles, helmets and all rental equipment, for added guest ease of mind.
We are offering rescheduling to our guests whose travel plans are impacted due to cancellation and caring for yourself or a loved one sickened by COVID-19. For your peace of mind, we are offering a trip credit, with no expiration date to reschedule, for guests needing to cancel their trip (see specifics below).
COVID-19 Policy Specifics:
Any and all cancellations due to COVID-19 must be received by Northeast Whitewater either via phone or in writing no later than August 1, 2020 to be eligible for a credit, with no expiration date to reschedule.
