Where It All Began: Northeast Guide Service
Long before the rafts hit the water, our story started under a different name: Northeast Guide Service.
Guiding wasn’t just something we offered—it was the foundation of everything we did. Fishing trips, time on the water, and sharing Maine’s natural beauty with guests in a more personal, immersive way—that’s where it all began.
As the years went on, our rafting operations grew, and so did our moose tours. Those experiences became the backbone of our business, and for a long time, that’s where our focus stayed.
Expanding the Experience Once Again
As we celebrate 20 years, we’ve taken a step back to reflect on what makes this place—and this business—so special.
The answer was simple: connection to the water, the land, and the experience of being guided through it.
That’s why we’re proud to be reintroducing and expanding the kinds of trips that defined our early days, including:
